About Elsewhere
Your dreams are a world that you return to every night. The first few times you visit, everything might seem random - a flying car here, an old friend there, a monster over there. But the more you explore, the more patterns you'll notice. Why do you always dream of that same friend, who helps you defeat that same monster?
You'll begin to learn the language of your own subconscious. More than that, these patterns can help you find your center - what is meaningful for you, what is beautiful for you, what is terrifying for you, and why. Who is the 'you' that you're exploring, and what should they do next?
We hope Elsewhere can help guide you in that world.
If you dream about the same character, setting or symbol multiple times, we'll send you an insight about what it might mean for you.
As you dream, you'll add symbols to your personal symbol collection. Think of it as a reflection of your own personal mythology.
On the charts page you'll see what you're dreaming about in a given week, month or year.
It goes without saying, but you'll need to enter real dreams to see real patterns - if you want to enter nonsense to generate funny pictures, just remember to delete it afterwards ;)

Our Core Principles
Respect for the dreamer: You are the one who ultimately decides what your dreams mean. Elsewhere is meant to help you grow into your own abilities as a dreamer and an interpreter of your dreams.
Privacy and security: All dreams and other personal information are stored safely and privately. No one, including us, will see that information. If at any time you want to pull your dreams and information out of Elsewhere, you are free to do so.
Multiple meanings: We believe every dream has multiple meanings, which means multiple methods are needed to analyze and interpret the dreams. Elsewhere includes a large and growing number of tools that enable you to illuminate the multiple meanings of your dreams from a variety of perspectives.
More is better: Elsewhere can give you valuable, instant feedback about a single dream. However, the most powerful features of the app emerge as you record your dreams over time.

Why Elsewhere Now?
We believe dreams are expressions of the infinite creative energy that is latent within every one of us. Especially in times of apocalyptic fear and uncertainty, dreams look beyond the limits of the present to imagine new possibilities for the future. Each of us is a dreamer, and each of us has the power to envision new solutions to our personal and collective problems.
A Cautionary Note
Dreams can occasionally bring up surprising memories and weird feelings. This is normal for the most part, but if you encounter something you feel you can't handle, please consult a mental health professional. Elsewhere is not intended as a substitute for psychotherapy.
Who we are
We are avid dreamers ourselves, and Elsewhere began with years of personal experiments using digital tools to explore our own dreams. Everything in the app has been extensively tested with our own dreams. We created Elsewhere to provide the best tools of dream interpretation to the widest audience.
