One way tags are created is via auto-generated tags. There is nothing you need to do to create these tags. Elsewhere automatically detects important key words from the dream and generates tags for you!

To see the tags that were generated for a dream after adding it, navigate to the Tags tab.

You can also create your own custom tags. To do this, navigate to the dream you wish to add tags to, select the menu ellipsis, and then select Edit. Scroll down to the TAGS section and type your desired tag in the input box. Then tap the + button to add it and the checkmark to save the dream with the new tag(s).

You can also edit, or remove existing tags on a dream from the dream edit screen. Tap the X to delete or select the text and start typing to edit.

One reason you might want to use tags is because you can search by them. To search by a tag, select the magnifying glass button at the bottom toolbar.

Then type the tag in the search box and tap the magnifying glass.

Select the TAGS button to view the resulting tags from your search.

Then select the tag.

Here you can see information about this tag in relation to your dreams on the tag detail screen.

You can also export dreams with this tag by selecting the menu button and choosing Export dreams with this tag.

To prevent tags from being auto-generated, tap the menu button in the bottom left toolbar and select Settings. Then select Dream settings and turn off the toggle that says Automatic Tagging.

The Associations feature allows you to include custom associations you may have with specific tags to be used in your dream interpretations. They can be created on the tag detail screen. There are multiple ways to navigate to a tag detail screen:

Tap on the menu icon and then select My Symbols. Tap any symbol to be taken to the tag detail screen.

Tap the menu icon, then select My Characters or My Places. Tap any character or place in the list to open its tag detail screen.

Tap the Statistics icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Select the time range you’d like to see tags for. Then select the Tags tab.

Tap any tag to be taken to the tag detail screen.

Select any dream and tap the Tags tab to see all the tags associated with the dream.

Select any tag or symbol to be taken to the tag detail screen. Symbols are a type of tag too!

Once on a tag detail screen, click the edit button to enter your association with the selected tag.

Type your associations with the tag in the box.
